About me
Hi! I’m Summer Barnes. After spending the last five years as a stay-at-home mom to my two amazing kids, I’m really excited to be stepping back into the workforce and pursuing a career in UI/UX design.
I’ve always loved bringing order to chaos and creating spaces that feel welcoming and functional—and now I get to do that through digital experiences. My background and curiosity help me approach problems with creativity and care. I’m excited to keep learning and growing, and to be part of a team where I can contribute, collaborate, and create meaningful user experiences.
Education
I recently transitioned into UI/UX design and I am currently studying Human-Computer Interaction at Georgia Tech. In addition, I have also completed the IBM UI/UX Design Professional Certificate, where I developed practical skills in user research, interaction design, and prototyping. Through both my coursework and hands-on projects, I’ve built a strong foundation in designing intuitive, accessible, and user-centered experiences.
